Lifting each out of poverty until there is one less
RISE Scholarships (Reaching Independence and Success through Education)
RISE Scholarships were created by THE ONE LESS FOUNDATION to help students, pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited institute of higher education, meet their financial needs. The scholarships are funded by donors and supporters.
Four scholarships are given out annually during the RISE Awards (a joint student/parent information dinner event held at the conclusion of the College Bound -
The application period for scholarships opens May 1, 2016 and closes June 30, 2016. Applications postmarked after June 30, 2016 or received via fax/email after 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2016 will not be considered. Scholarship winners will be notified on July 15, 2016 and will receive their awards at the RISE Awards or through other arrangements if they are unable to attend the dinner.
Promise Scholar
Awarded to a graduating high school senior with a 2.0 -
The EBMS Family Scholarship
Awarded to a student who has overcome a difficult obstacle or life situation. $1,000 scholarship.
Tomorrow's Innovator
Awarded to a student with a 3.2 or above GPA, pursuing a degree in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) fields. $1,000. Scholarship.
RISE Scholar
Awarded to a student with a 3.5 or above GPA , actively involved with their community or in community service. The scholarship award is $2,000 total with $1,000 given to the student at the beginning of each semester (for one year), provided a minimum 3.5 GPA is met at the end of the fall semester. Students who are awarded this scholarship may submit a yearly supplemental application for continued support for three additional years of undergraduate studies.
Instructions:

3. Submit completed application along with all supporting documentation.
4. Files should be uploaded in .pdf format, and where possible combined into one complete .pdf file containing your
application and all required supporting documentation. (If supporting documentation is submitted as separate files, please list your name in each file that is submitted.)
5. You may apply for more than one (1) scholarship; however each application must be submitted separately.
