Program Classes and Workshops Calendar

The One Less Foundation provides regularly scheduled workshops and classes that are open to the Philadelphia community. Check the calendar above or click on the registration  for that class or workshop to get the date s and times.

College Bound - Prepare to Succeed

For: Incoming College Freshmen
This three-hour workshop is for students entering college in the fall of 2016. Students will learn what to expect from professors, time management skills, the  academic structure of college,, resources available to them on their campus and their rights and responsibilities as a student and budgeting.

SAT Prep

For: High School Juniors and Seniors
Do you want to get some extra practice and professional guidance before taking the SAT's?  Sign up for this six week prep class and get help with subjects so you can get your highest score. This is a 6-week class.

ACT Prep

For: High School Juniors and Seniors
Do you want to get some extra practice and professional guidance before taking the ACT's?  Sign up for this six week prep class and get help with subjects so you can get your highest score. This is a 6-week class.

The Reading Workshop

For: High School Juniors and Seniors
Get additional assistance  in  this 3-week class with learning how to  read, understand and analyze essays and college level literature. This class will prepare you for the writing section of the SAT test as well as get your ready to participate in discussions  for your college classes.

Writing for College Workshop

For: High School Juniors and Seniors
The workshop give tips on organizing your ideas and thoughts, preparing outlines, using citations properly, and putting it all together while helping you find your writer's voice . Start writing winning scholarship essays, and grade A essays and papers for class.

GED Prep

For: Adults ages 18 and up
This 12-week class is for adults seeking assistance with studying and preparing to successfully complete the GED test. The class will include test taking strategies and understanding the test format. Students ake one timed full practice test and practice test for each subject.

FAFSA Days

For: High School Seniors

Get help completing the FAFSA application which is the form that Federal and State aid is based on to help pay for college. Information. This information may also be used when applying for other scholarships and aid.
